- A Wiccan barmaid at Merlotte's, Holly Cleary, performed a ritual that would abort Arlene's unwanted and unborn baby. She did this by invoking "The Great Mother" and having Arlene drink an herbal tea with a drop of Arlene's blood she concocted.
- The Moon Goddess is a fiction deity of Mobius. Under orders from Doctor Robotnik, Mesmer managed to hypnotise an entire village into believing that the goddess existed. He also convinced them that Knuckles the Echidna was "the one", foretold that his sacrifice would please the deity and give the village good crops. To entice him out, the villagers, dressed in twisted disguises, captured a young sheep and Knuckles rescued her. Thanks to the lamb's betrayal, the mob found Knuckles and trapped him in a burning cage. He eventually broke free and ended Mesmer's grip on the people, ending any belief in the Moon Goddess.
