- A Star Rod is a star on a stick. (Not even Einstein could work that out!) It turns people into cookies. Strangely, Daisy used it and grew wings for 2 seconds Years. Star Rod is currently in the Bowser's Castle Dungeons because Bowser thinks that the Star Rod is the weapon of mass destruction.
- The Star Rod (スターロッド, Sutā Roddo) is an item in Super Smash Flash 2 coming from the Kirby series. Normally, it can be used like any battering-type item in the game, but using a forward smash with it will make it launch a star projectile that can topple enemies over the edge of a map. The Star Rod deals 10% uncharged. Fully charged, the star projectile deals 8% while the strike itself deals 26%. Some characters have the ability to strike the opponent multiple times when fully charged, such as Captain Falcon.
- The Star Rod is the final Copy Ability in Kirby's Adventure. It is also an item in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. "Oh, that old thing..." — King Dedede, being asked by Kirby what he did to it. Kirby does not gain a hat with this ability, as with other final weapons. The Star Rod is a simple red and white swirled rod with a glowing star at the tip. It fires smaller stars to attack. It is similar to Triple Star, but the Star Rod is slightly faster and has extra attacks.
- The Star Rod is a legendary artifact that powers the Fountain of Dreams and causes the magic waters to flow from it, giving good dreams to the people of Dream Land. When not there, people either have dreamless sleep, or nightmares, neither of which occur in Dream Land when the Star Rod is in its place. During the events of Kirby's Adventure, the Fountain of Dreams becomes corrupted by Nightmare so King Dedede breaks the rod into seven pieces and gives them to his strongest soldiers. Kirby, believing King Dedede took the artifact for selfish reasons, retrieves the pieces and repairs the rod, inadvertently freeing Nightmare. However, in the ensuing fight Kirby is able to tap into the Star Rod's powers and use it to destroy Nightmare. It, along with the Fountain of Dreams, are symbols of hope
- The Star Rod (スターロッド, sutā roddo) is a combination of a melee clobbering weapon as well as a shooting weapon. It is known for breaking many of the standard rules about reflecting items in SSBM. If it is thrown at Fox/Falco's Reflector, Zelda's Nayru's Love, Mario/Dr. Mario's Cape, or Mewtwo's Confusion(forward+b), it will not be reflected. It originates from the Kirby series.
- The Star Rod is a magical device in Star Haven that is used to help grant wishes in Paper Mario. It is originated from the Kirby series. When Bowser and Kammy Koopa stole the rod, Bowser used the magic sceptre to capture the elder star spirits and then used it for his own selfish wishes, including invincibility so he can defeat Mario. Combined with a homemade empowering arena on top of Peach's Castle, he used the rod to grow bigger. The Star Rod has appeared in Super Smash Bros., Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl as an attack item.
