- Gruff, direct, and tough, Hardball excels in close-quarters combat, either in the skies or on the ground. His primary tactic is to close in with his enemy and take them down at close range, hopefully avoiding their longer ranged weapons in the process. He's equipped with an energon shotgun that fires both single shot and scatter-shot style ammunition, though it is only effective at close-range. Also equipped with a hand laser and titanium blade. In his Cybertronian starfighter mode, he carries a nose mounted laser cannon, with a gauss rifle on one wing, a ballistic cannon on the other. He is also equipped with two short range missiles. Aside from the lack of range in any of his weaponry, he is also prone to occasional joint failure.

- Worried only about getting his $500 check, Conor shows up at the baseball field to a rag tag bunch of trash-talking, street-wise, inner city kids called "crack babies" who live in the projects, where people have to sit on the floor in their apartments to avoid stray bullets. Conor's efforts are hindered from the onset by the fact that he does not have nine kids to make up the team—one kid, having altered his birth certificate to be younger and another kid, "G-Baby" (DeWayne Warren), who is far too young to play.
