- The Wintersaber Trainers is an Alliance-only faction consisting of only two night elven NPCs that can both be found in Winterspring. Currently, the only questgiver is Rivern Frostwind who is located at the top of Frostsaber Rock in Winterspring. Upon reaching exalted with this faction, Rivern will sell a special mount, the Winterspring Frostsaber. The faction was noted for having the longest and most repetitive reputation grind of the entire game, though the reputation grind was made easier with the addition of File:Alliance 15.png [50] They Grow Up So Fast, a quest that allows you to do daily quests, along with the ability to fly in Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms. It is slightly faster with the guild perk Mr. Popularity (5% reputation gain from quests and killing monsters, guild level 4+). Currently, the daily quests given by the Winterspring Cub will get you from Neutral to Exalted by running 20 daily quests.

Sólo uno de ellos, Rivern Frostwind que hace las veces de Líder y quartermaster, da misiones que son la única forma de ganar reputación. El único aliciente de la facción es llegar a ser Exalted, momento en el cual Rivern Frostwind nos venderá una montura épica especial. Dicha montura, que toma la forma de un tigre invernal, es la única que da el 100% de velocidad sobre tierra con un nivel de riding de 75 (lo normal es necesitar un nivel de 150). La facción fue famosa en su día por la enorme cantidad de tiempo que había que invertir y el aburrimiento que provocaba la repetición de las únicas 3 misiones que se pueden hacer. Todo esto cambió cuando se lanzó The Burning Crusade en la que la experiencia obtenida con las facciones 'clásicas' se elevó hasta un nivel más decente. De las tres misiones disponibles, dos se pueden hacer cuando se llega a nivel 58 mientras que la otra necesita nivel 60. Las misiones son:

* [60] Rampaging Giants (350 reputación) Con el antiguo sistema, que daba 50 y 75 de reputación, para llegar a nivel Exalted hacía falta repetir las misiones 840 veces (o 746 si se hace la que da 75 de reputación) e invertir, si se tomaba como 30 minutos el tiempo medio en completar cada una, unas 420 horas (o lo que es lo mismo 17 días y medio de juego ininterrumpido). Con el aumento de reputación y del nivel de los jugadores, las misiones se hacen ahora en menos tiempo y con menos esfuerzo - se calcula que 'sólo' se tardarían 42 horas de juego ininterrumpido en llegar a nivel Exalted.
