Its current members are Yujin Nkiva and Meri Nkiva. They possess the Steel Release Kekkei Genkai. The clan is split into two parts, the main house (宗家, Sōke) and the branch house (分家, Bunke), a system that protects the secrets of the Byakugan from outsiders. The main house runs the family while the branch house protects it. Essentially, the main house serve to be the "teachers" of the branch house in the use of their techniques, mentally and physically preparing them in the times of combat and war. While the main house seems to prefer operating on a political scale, the branch house resembles a militia, being full of hardened clan members ready to defend and put their lives on the line for the main house at a moment's notice. Branch members are expected to start learning the art of combat at the age of 7, but can start much earilier than that.
