- The Cayman Islands is a country tax haven where rich people hide all of the money a great deal of the money that they obtain illegally, international organisations are trying to do something about this. The Cayman Islands used to be part of Jamaica but remained a United Kingdom Colony dependency after Jamaica became independent. Tourism is also important in the Cayman Islands. Christopher Columbus was the first European to discover the Cayman Islands.
