Image:Pictogram voting comment.svg Comment: Not sure if this is the right place to request for a bot. Brooklyn Gonzales 02:43, October 3, 2013 (UTC) I'm requesting admin rights to be able to test deleting and other staff, not a bot status, I don't need it. --CodeMonk (talk) 09:59, October 3, 2013 (UTC) Oh, in that case, I would say that I am File:Symbol neutral vote.png Neutral, because I looked at the wikis that you edited on and you don't really have much that I could decide on. * Requests for bot access are made at Admin Tools Wiki:Requests for bot approval (shortcut ATW:RFB).
* All automated (i.e., bot) and semi-automated (i.e., AWB) tasks must be performed via a separate bot account (e.g., User:CodeMonkBOT) and not by your regular user account (i.e., User:CodeMonk).
* A bot account cannot perform any tasks at ATW until approved at ATW:RFB, confirmed by the local flagging of that bot account with the bot flag.
* File:Ambox Content.svg N.B. Currently, bot testing can only be performed in the test page namespace (i.e., the main namespace (i.e., ns:0)).
* Bot testing is not yet permitted in any other namespaces as we first need to take measures to protect the not-to-be-disturbed contents in those namespaces. Sadly, those actions are on a to-do list awaiting our attention. Thank you for your understanding. — SpikeToronto 05:11, October 7, 2013 (UTC) Ok, no problem, request for CodeMonkBOT is posted on Admin_Tools_Wiki:Requests_for_bot_approval. Bot will not affect any existing pages in any namespace. CodeMonk (talk) 08:29, January 15, 2014 (UTC)Bureaucrats’ closing notes and conclusions
