Wieslaw Drzewicz (19 March 1927 - 31 December 1996) was a Polish actor who worked in theater, film, television, radio, and voice acting. He is best known as the voice of Gargamel in the Polish dub of The Smurfs cartoon show.

abstract	Wieslaw Drzewicz (19 March 1927 - 31 December 1996) was a Polish actor who worked in theater, film, television, radio, and voice acting. He is best known as the voice of Gargamel in the Polish dub of The Smurfs cartoon show. In 1948 he graduated from the Acting Department of the State Higher School of Theatre in Krakow and performed in many theater in many Polish cities like Częstochowa, Sosnowiec, Krakow, Bydgoszcz and so on during the 1950s to 1960s. Starting from the 1970s, he had worked for different television dramas, radio dramas and dubbing. He had won many awards from the entertainment industries and the government. He passed away in 1996 because of lung cancer in Warsaw.
