St Mirren FC play at Love Street Stadium in St James and the pub scenes in Glasgow comedy "Chewin' The Fat" were set in The Cottage Arms in Mossvale Lane in Shortroods. This spawned a spin-off series in the form of "Still Game" starring Greg Hemphill and Ford Tiernan.
