Johann Fiedler (28 April 1922 – 23 September 1999) was an Oberscharführer in the Waffen SS during World War II who was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. This was awarded to recognize extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership by Nazi Germany during World War II. Johann Fiedler was born in the Sudetenland at Stangendorf. He volunteered to join the SS and was posted to the 3rd SS Panzer Division Totenkopf. Johann Fiedler now a Unterscharführer was awarded the Knight's Cross on 16 June 1944, for actions during the Battle of the Korsun-Cherkassy Pocket.

This was awarded to recognize extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership by Nazi Germany during World War II. Johann Fiedler was born in the Sudetenland at Stangendorf. He volunteered to join the SS and was posted to the 3rd SS Panzer Division Totenkopf. He participated in the fighting for the Demyansk Pocket in February to April 1942 and in June was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd class being awarded the Iron Cross 1st class in October 1943. In 1944, he was made a platoon commander in the 5th Company, 6th SS Panzer Grenadier Regiment Theodor Eick, he was also awarded the Wound Badge in Gold, which was awarded after being wounded five or more times. Johann Fiedler now a Unterscharführer was awarded the Knight's Cross on 16 June 1944, for actions during the Battle of the Korsun-Cherkassy Pocket. He was then posted to the Totenkopf Division replacement battalion, near the end of the war. Johann Fielder survived the war and died on 23 September 1999.
