Dartol was the creator of the ever popular [Dartol's Rod of Transformation]. Not much is known about Dartol, except for what Teronis has depicted in his journal. Teronis speaks of an evil wizard, namely Dartol, who attempted to use the rod to deceive the furbolg. His illusion failed, and he was murdered. This 'druidic' wizard, seeking to twist the furbolg for unknown reasons, has a hazy background. It is possible that he came to Kalimdor with Jaina Proudmoore and the refugees from Lordaeron, or he could also have come on his own accord.
