Biography
  • Mike Rowe is a former NASCAR driver from Turner, ME. In addition to being a winner in the Busch East Series, Rowe competed in nine Nationwide Series races. He earned one top-ten finish in that series. Rowe's Nationwide debut came in 1986, when he competed at Oxford Plains. Starting 40th in the field of forty-three, Rowe fell a number of laps down in the race but drove his way to a solid 19th place finish. Rowe again returned to action for a sole race during the 1988 season, competing at Oxford. Starting 12th in the field of forty-seven, Rowe used his local skills at the track to pilot his car home 16th. Rowe's next two races came during the 1990 season, when he again started the year off at Oxford. He was solid during the race, completing all but three laps to finish a solid 10th place. He was also spectacular at Loudon, finishing 11th in the track's inaugural race. Rowe's busiest year in the series came during the 1991 season, when he finished a career-best 62nd in points. His results during the year were again quite respectable, competing at Oxford and both Loudon races. His best run of the year was an 11th place at Loudon, tacked on with a 15th at Oxford and 23rd at the other Loudon show. Rowe's final two races came during the 1992 season, though it turned out to be the toughest year of Rowe's career. DNFs haunted him in both races, not even allowing him to crack the top-thirty in either show. He was 31st in the July Loudon event and 40th in the August Loudon event. External Links *Stats
