The Department of Southern Indiana is the thirteenth Department to be admitted to the Republic of the Wabash. It was created in 2015, the breakup the larger Department of Indiana into three departments. It is the third smallest in the nation, but grosses as population density behind that of the Department of Chicago. It was formally admitted on June 8th, and is considered a cultural region unique from the rest of the Wabash. Associated with Kentucky and the Southern United States, the regional accent and traditions are different from the regions north of itself.
