Supervised by the Minister of Science and Technology, who sat on the Grand Council of the Golden Empire, the Ministry also maintained the standards for all weights and measures used in the Empire. The Royal Observatory also fell into this agency's jurisdiction. The Ministry formally sponsored the annual Queen's Symposium from 111 ABY onward.
