Francisco Fernando Luis Juan Carlos de Iturbide y Hapsburg (June 3, 1823 - July 9, 1897) was the second son of Emperor Agustin I of Mexico and Empress Clementina, and served as his elder brother Agustin II's chief aide and advisor for the majority of his reign. Prince Francisco Fernando is often remembered and celebrated within the German-Mexican community for helping integrate the Austrian expatriates into the everyday Mexican community, although he was reviled by common Mexicans (especially mestizos) for his opulent lifestyle and prejudiced attitudes toward the mixed-race mestizos. Francisco Fernando fathered two future Emperors - Eduardo I and Agustin III, as his elder brother had no sons.
