Norton was a member of the Sanguine Club. He was the quietest member of the group. When Martin shared his encounter with a new vampire, Norton refuted Titus' assertion that this vampire was not a gentleman. Later, he and the rest of the Club pursued Jack in Whitechapel, finally catching him at the scene of his last murder. Here, Jack was able to cut Norton before he was subdued. It was Norton's idea to wall Jack up in the foundation of the unfinished Tower Bridge.
