He remained in Rouen until she had been burned at the stake, deeply moved by her certainty in her faith.

- Rouen was one of two French cities destroyed by Soviet atomic bombs on 1 February 1951, in retaliation for American nuclear attacks on Manchurian cities that took place on 23 January.

All of the fighting takes place either in the streets or in the bombed-out remains of buildings. * Au 16ème siècle, Rouen était la deuxième ville de France après Paname. Les temps ont changé.
