These numbers earned him a promotion to the double-A New Britain Rock Cats for the 2008 season, however, a strained hamstring caused him to be reassigned to Extended Spring Training (he was replaced on the roster by Toby Gardenhire, son of Twins' manager Ron Gardenhire). Brandon colected three hits in nine at bats during his rehabilitation stint with the Gulf Coast League Twins. He's since been promoted back to Fort Myers.
