A renegade program is detected in Sestren Space, leading to the deployment of the Shelcoof. Lundi begins to tell the story of his world and the city left behind by the Ancients. Monsters have been around since then to balance the resources of the world, so people have fled to the "safety" of the Empire. Lundi remains in Elpis, a town in the Frontier that breeds Coolia. The settlement has been destroyed and Lundi is using Lagi, a dragon found with a green glow, to defend the people that once would have killed him. Lagi eventually destroys a Catharp walker before moving on to the Shelcoof. Together, Lundi and Lagi attack with the Arrows of Light but they miss and the ship escapes. The two heroes continue on to an unknown mission.

The locale from the first stage in the game appears in the Archie Comics crossover Worlds Unite.

Spielerisch bietet der Rail Shooter herausfordernde Action, die an StarWing erinnert, aber um Eigenheiten erweitert wurde.

Das Spiel wurde von Team Andromeda entwickelt und war einer der ersten Shooter mit Echtzeit-3D-Grafik. Dabei war das Railshooter-Prinzip mit fest vorgegebener Flugroute allerdings recht einfach gehalten. Die Entwicklungskosten von geschätzten 3 Millionen Dollar waren seinerzeit beachtlich und wurden u.a. in einen orchestralen Soundtrack und aufwändige CGI-Zwischensequenzen investiert. Eine Umsetzung für den PC folgte ein Jahr später.
