[Aboard the Second Death Star] "If you will not turn to the Dark Side, perhaps she will." Those words from Vader were Luke's breaking point. For Leia was everyone's last unflagging hope. If Vader turned his twisted, misguided views on her... "Never!" Luke screamed. He Ignited his lightsaber and rushed to his father with a frenzy he'd never known. The two fought onward determined to defeat the other, but it was soon evident that Luke had the advantage. They locked swords body to body. Blow upon blow, Luke forced Vader to retreat back towards the power core's bottomless shaft. Each stroke of Luke's saber rain on Vader, like accusations, like scream, like shards of hate. The Dark Lord was driven to his knees, he raised his blade defend him from another torrent of blows- and Luke slashed Vader

The Dark Lord was driven to his knees, he raised his blade defend him from another torrent of blows- and Luke slashed Vader's right hand off at the wrist. Luke stared at his father's twitching, severed mechanical hand- and then at his own black glove covered hand. Suddenly the Emperor was there, looking on. "Good! Kill him! Your hate has made you Powerful! Now fulfill your destiny and take your father's place at my side!" Suddenly Luke hurled his lightsaber away. "Never! Never will I turn to the dark side! You have failed, Palpatine. I am a Jedi, like my father before me. "So be it, Jedi. If you will not be turned, you will be destroyed." Palpatine raised his arms toward Luke: bolts of lightning shot from his finger tips zapping the son of Vader. Vader couldn't stand to watch his son be killed, he had killed all he had sworn to protect he had killed Obi-Wan, Most of the Jedi and Padme, but he could fufill his oath and save his son. Vader was no more, Anakin Skywalker gathered all of his strength and lifted his former master and threw him into the endless shaft of the Death Star. "Sir, are you alright?" asked General Tyne. "Yeah, I just had another vision." "Lord Void, we have landed." He chuckled at Tyne for telling him the obvious. "Stay here." Tyne breathed a sigh of relief, he had heard terrible things about Slag and did not want to experience any of them for himself.
