Starhaven was a small village located on what was then the extreme western border of Valdemar, in the edges of the Pelagirs. It was the sister village to nearby Solmark. Around 322 AF every resident of the village, over one hundred people, died overnight, without any sign of violence or struggle. The unnaturally quick growth of the Pelagirs began to overtake the buildings shortly after. No one knew what had become of the villagers for another fifty years, not until Herald Vess and the spirit of a dead Tayledras mage fought the spirit of the long-dead evil mage who had possessed Sevastan, and was working through his granddaughter, Juni. The blood-mage had drained the entire village, killing its residents in order to continue his existence.
