Tank Mines are a Utility available to the Engineer. When placed on the ground, passing enemy vehicles will trigger a large explosion, killing most vehicles in two hits. Mines can also be detonated by explosions and small arms fire. As such, it is common practice for Engineers to place two mines in close proximity, so that they function as a single, larger mine. By certing into the Mine Guard, drivers can reduce the damage done by mines to their vehicles. An Engineer can deploy a maximum of 5 mines (with the Utility Pouch) at any one time. Deploying further mines will cause previously placed mines to despawn.
