Slaver guilds were organizations set up and geared towards the legal or illegal acquisition of slaves, mainly from worlds in the Outer Rim Territories. They enjoyed an increase in trade following the rise of the Galactic Empire and the legalization of the trade, previously illegal under the Galactic Republic. Terrinald Screed noted that of the various organizations who dealt in the slave trade, only three were worth mentioning: the Zygerrian Slavers Guild, the Thalassian Pirates, and the relatively new Karazak Slavers Cooperative.
