| - Hefty Smurf and Brainy find genie in the river. There will fulfill the spirit of the wishes of his liberators. The Smurfs make wishes that are fulfilled by this spirit. However successful the mind not so good: the needs are only half done. Gargamel has since captured a second spirit, the twin brother of the spirit of the Smurfs, who also only half-heartedly fulfill the wishes of his master. But together they are capable to bring out the best wishes. However, they are separated in the universe where they came from, because the prince there was fear of their power. The Smurfs want to reunite them and return them, so they go along with Gargamel to liberate the mind. He also has a wish, that is rich. In order to perform well wishes, however, have to master all of the ghosts same desires. Gargamel is dependent on Hefty Smurf and Brainy, but the Smurfs refuse to give Gargamel wealth. They help Gargamel have to do include a dry tree revived, to get a new roof and to get a nice meal. Meanwhile, Papa Smurf found the solution to bring the spirits to their world again. At midnight, they can again be conjured into their own world. To be able, however Gargamel must free his mind to. To get that done, they devise a plan to get Gargamel so far. They let Gargamel believe they will give him wealth by him to do everything he touches turn to gold as the legendary King Midas. Gargamel caught in the trap and get the gift, but only realized afterwards the consequences: eat and drink turn into gold. When hunger strikes, the Smurfs convince Gargamel to go along with their plan: if he gives his mind the freedom they wish together to Gargamels gift and effects are removed it. The spirits are so liberated and may in time return to their own world. Gargamel is evil because he has nothing more and chases the Smurfs. The Smurfs eventually get a message from the two spirits that they are doing well in their world. The story ends with a joyful feast.
