- Sidney Moore is a character in Grand Theft Auto: London, 1969 and Grand Theft Auto: London, 1961. In one mission, the protagonist has to collect food for a picnic and delivers the collected items to Sidney.
- Sidney appears in episode 2755 of Sesame Street, where he plays "One of These Things" to properly recycle three soda cans and a plastic cup.

When it was his turn for repairs at the Dieselworks, he was hoisted up and had his undercarriage removed. Being patient, Sidney was happy to wait, and wait, and wait. He sat there happy to pass the time with any engine that happened to be visiting. Two years later, he still had no wheels, so Percy helped him get a new set of wheels and now he is back on track.
- Sidney is a member of the Emerald Hill folk who once made his home in the Floating Island's Mushroom Hill Zone. He was one of the citizens taken from his home by Doctor Zachary's Guardian Robots and installed on Doctor Robotnik's Biological Computer. After being saved by the electromagnetic pulse from the Black Asteroid, Sidney angrily confronted Knuckles the Echidna before he could chase down his evil echidna counterpart. The Emerald Hill resident spoke for the rest of his people when he stated he wished to return home, appreciating Knuckles' gesture to let them stay but ultimately fed up of being fugitives. Thanks to Sidney's convincing speech, Knuckles agreed to put off the search and went to the Emerald Chamber with Porker Lewis to lower the island out of the sky.

- Sidney appears in a trap with her boyfriend Alex. They are both forced to cling onto two identical ladders made of razor wire, suspended above several upturned lawnmowers. Alex tries to knock Sidney off the ladder, but she knocks him off instead; causing him to fall to his death. Sidney later reveals at the Saw survivor meeting that Alex was abusive towards her, and the trap "set her free" of him. Simone degrades her; saying that it shouldn't have taken a Jigsaw trap for her to leave him.
- Sidney was one of the diesels who laughed at Percy's joke when the tank engine first arrived at the Vicarstown Dieselworks. He only appeared very briefly on a hoist with no wheels. In the seventeenth season, he is still on the hoist and was often referred to as a Christmas decoration by the diesels, literally being used as one by Diesel 10 as well. Percy asked how long Sidney had been left up on the hoist and found out from Norman that it had been two years. Percy gave Sidney a new set of wheels as a Christmas present, and Sidney is now a really useful engine again.
- Sidney is a greedy but polished criminal who briefly abetted the Atom Man on radio's The Adventures of Superman. Sidney participated in many criminal activities but always prudently remained in the shadows, as he values his own safety and comfort, serving largely as a sort of "fixer" or procurer. In his debut appearance, he is described as "a grotesquely fat man in a flowered silk dressing-gown... small babyish features are set in a vast, pale, moonlike face, topped with thin, silky pinkish hair." His trademark is a a tendency to always consume chocolates, from a box or bag.
- Sidney was the son of Maurice, the centenarian clinic patient in the Season 7 episode Selfish. He was portrayed by actor Allan Rich. Maurice came to the clinic complaining of general fatigue, which Gregory House put down to his advanced age. However, Sidney said that his father was still very strong and the fatigue was not typical. He insisted Dr. House perform a battery of tests. Unbeknownst to Sidney, Maurice was tired of living with his son and wanted to live in a home too. He offered House $100 to say that he needed to be in a nursing home too.
