| - Informers are NPCs that can show you a list of adventurers (which includes their name, fame, location, and level) and investigate an ally for 10,000 gold (which will show you a stat sheet akin to your own). If you have the gene engineer skill, you can investigate an ally for much cheaper by simply buying an expendable NPC from the slave trainer in Derphy and merging it with your ally (make sure you select your ally first otherwise they will be deleted!). This will display the stat sheet for much cheaper.
- You will find a person in the space lounge who wants you to eliminate a spy in a space station's security force. You must go outside and, using your scanner, find the person marked 'Informer' and eliminate him. Don't destroy any of the other ships or you will fail the mission. Once you fire upon the informer, the rest of the security force will attack you, but if you dock at that station, you can pay a bribe to return the ships to neutral status. Once you dock, you will get your credits.
- The Informer is a radar vehicle capable of revealing enemy locations; because it is mobile, it can reveal enemy locations anywhere on a map without having to build Radar Towers in potentially dangerous areas, but it will not reveal the locations of units under the protection of a radar jammer. Its ARM counterpart is the Seer.
- Not much is known about InformerAND NEVER WILL,BISH, other than that he is a he, and has an akward personality. He is sympathetic, but very headstrong in some cases, and can either be a good debating partner, or a very big annoyance. Informer is most famous for nothing in particular,(Other than using a Wooper in some form for an avatar.) but has been told he has done many epic things. He first came across this site with the intention of helping the members with the secrets of Mario games. He feels like an ass everytime he looks at his intro topic now, and headdesks repeatedly. He has developed a friendship with many of the members, and the few rivals he has on the site are only temporary, but can escalate to a thread lock on rare occasion.
- An Informer was a rank obtained by Imperial Agents under the employ of the Sith Empire's Ministry of Intelligence. Informers often worked undercover within the Galactic Republic and fed sensitive information back to their superiors. Ula Vii was an informer working in the offices of Supreme Commander Stantorrs during the Cold War.
- An informer's role is to inform their leader (and sometimes a fellow comrade/friend) of things. Often, the things they inform them of are irrelevant and stupid (often purposefully) with the aim (or consequence) of causing them to rant furiously, or become immensely annoyed at least. Often, they inform their leaders of antics committed by the leader's native antic master.

- An Informer makes a living by selling information, often the kind that people want to keep secret. Nobody really like an Informer, so this career choice may be a dangerous one. There are, however, many on both sides of the law who find Informers' services invaluable in tracking down anything from a stolen brooch to a long-lost relative, from a defaulting debtor to a rival's plans. Successful Informers may have contacts in the City Watch or in the highest echelons of crime - sometimes both.
