- METRICS Bozos are easy to identify, based on the answers to some simple questions. Simply answer those questions that can be answered (sometimes a challenge when evaluating someone else for bozone content), count the answers that indicate a bozo, divide by the number of questions answered, and multiply by 100 to obtain the bozo percentage. o In their area of expertise, have they studied the history to be able to do better rather than repeating it? (N=bozo) o In their area of expertise, do they often attend events, conferences, etc., where new ideas are discussed? (N=bozo) IDENTIFICATION
- Metrics are a standard of measurement. A Metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)s are the building blocks of many metric dashboard visualizations; as they are the most effective means of alerting users as to where they are in relationship to their objectives. A metric is referred to a direct numerical measure that represents a piece of hard data in the relationship of one or more dimensions (e.g. Scheduled Work Order percentages, equipment downtime, etc.) A KPI is simply a metric that is tied to a target (e.g. greater than 95% each month for Scheduled Work Order percentages, less than 5% for equipment downtime, etc). Most often a KPI represents how far a metric is above or below a pre-determined target. These metrics should be set by the clinical engineering manager and documented in

These metrics should be set by the clinical engineering manager and documented in a policy letter or perhaps a medical equipment management plan.
- Various means and mechanisms will be needed to help enterprises leverage Enterprise 2.0 tools. Here is some of the research and open source tools that have been developed on the Internet to help evaluate contributions to Wikipedia.
(N=bozo) o In their area of expertise, do they sometimes dismiss other people's conflicting viewpoints without fully understanding them? (Y=bozo) o Do they weigh ideas based on the credentials of those advancing them? (y=bozo) o Do they seek to be addressed or sign their name with a credential, like "doctor" or PhD? (Y=bozo) IDENTIFICATION In creating surveys to study bozone, it is important to identify the situation of the person being surveyed, so that their responses can be properly tallied. Hence, the following questions should be included. o Do you manage the efforts of others? o Are you an expert? o Is your expertise generally acknlowedged by others in your field? o Are you an expertise resource utilized by others? o Do you make hiring and firing decisions for technical personnel? o When directed to proceed in an unsound direction, do you do as you are told, or resist? o Do you believe that it is important for all of the personnel to have similar backgrounds?
