When meeting Hippo, she fell in love with him because nobody had ever treated her so kindly before, let alone give her a present. Despite the fact that Yuri knew Hippo was suppose to be her enemy, the two continued to see each other, creating a "Forbidden Love" between each other. The two usually met at the small beach storage house.
