Enoch J. Drebber was an American man traveling in Europe. In 1881 he was murdered by Jefferson Hope and his body was found in an abandoned house in London. The mystery of his murder was Sherlock Holmes and Dr John Watson's first case together, which Watson recounted in A Study in Scarlet.
