The Pacific Twelve Conference (known as the Pac-12) is a conference participating in the NCAA's Division I, with member institutions in , , Colorado, , Utah, and . It was founded in 1915 as the Pacific Coast Conference. In 1959, the conference was dissolved then reformed as the Athletic Association of Western Universities, which was renamed the Pacific Eight Conference in 1968.

It was founded in 1915 as the Pacific Coast Conference. In 1959, the conference was dissolved then reformed as the Athletic Association of Western Universities, which was renamed the Pacific Eight Conference in 1968. The league's membership changed in 2012 when the University of Colorado and the University of Utah joined the Conference. It was the first change since the Arizona schools joined in 1978. The Conference changed its name from the Pacific Ten Conference to the Pacific Twelve Conference.
