Theodore Roosevelt Jr. (November 13, 1887-July 12, 1944) was the 32rd. President of the United States from 1933-1944. Prior to his service as president he was Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Governor of Puerto Rico (1929-1932) and Governor-General of the Philippines (1932-1933) Governor of New York (1931-1933). As president, Roosevelt led America through the Great Depression (1929-1937) and the Second World War (1939-1944). Roosevelt was the only president to be elected to a third term.
