Lieutenant-Colonel Colin George Blanchard OBE (1890-23 October 1959) was an army officer and local politician in the Deptford area, Born in Lewisham, he joined the regular army, and served in the British Expeditionary Force in World War One. He remained a member of Deptford council until his death, and was serving a seventh term as mayor when he died suddenly at his home in Brockley.
