Scout troopers are soldiers in the Stormtrooper Corps who were often used for patrols and were used less than regular stormtroopers. They were noticeable for their use of speeder bikes, hence their nickname. In Missions mode, they are the Empire's sniper units, armed with a Pulse Cannon and they will generally not use any other blasters unless they are pitted against an enemy at close range. Once the player achieves a large enough amount of points, the Scout Troopers will stop appearing. Unlike the original Battlefront games, the scout trooper never has a change of armor.

In Survival, they begin to appear at Wave 4, and like the Demolition Trooper, their Pulse Cannon has no cooldown, meaning they can fire several consecutive shots without having to wait, negating misses. Unlike the original Battlefront games, the scout trooper never has a change of armor. In Survival, they more health than Stormtroopers despite their armor being depicted as lighter and offering less protection than any of their counterparts.
