In 1993, Connors was investigated by IAD lieutenant Angel Brockman for allegedly trading heroin to prostitutes for sex. Connors committed suicide before the investigation closed, and Brockman's witnesses later admitted that they had fabricated the charges because Connors had tried to drive them out of his jurisdiction.
