Srraxxarrakex, the ancient blue wyrm is a unique monster found in the bottom level of the Blue Dragon Caves, along with many ancient blue dragons and a number of great blue wyrms. Killing him is the objective of Sharad-Waador's quest. The ancient blue wyrm is easy to spot in his lair seeing as, ironically, he is represented by a purple W; this has gained him the nickname "Barney" (big purple monster) in the ADOM community.

Monster Memory
| - The air is filled with the smell of ozone, and the distant buzzing sound of electricity grows louder. Suddenly, there is a blinding flash and the roar of thunder! Stunned, you gaze in awe at the fearsome power of the ancient blue wyrm. The whole world seems filled with lightning as this titanic serpent charges toward you. Its reptilian eyes hold the glimmer of god-like intelligence and its scarred scales bear the testimony of thousands of victories over the course of many millennia. The ominous hum of power begins to build in intensity once more as this ancient wyrm opens its huge, fanged jaws...

Description
| - Srraxxarrakex, the ancient blue wyrm is a unique monster found in the bottom level of the Blue Dragon Caves, along with many ancient blue dragons and a number of great blue wyrms. Killing him is the objective of Sharad-Waador's quest. The ancient blue wyrm is easy to spot in his lair seeing as, ironically, he is represented by a purple W; this has gained him the nickname "Barney" in the ADOM community.
Like younger blue wyrms Srraxxarrakex can breathe lightning, confuse the PC from a distance, and quickly heal himself. He has a lot more defense and HP than other blue wyrms; he is more or less as strong as them, though, meaning that PCs that have made it far enough in the cave of blue dragons to fight should fare well against him. His habits of quickly healing himself — as well as his abilities to avoid or resist damage — makes a melee battle against him quite tedious, though.
