abstract
| - Kromol was the fifth world in the Kro'eval system. It was largely uninhabited, with no sentient species. However, neighboring Kromus, the fourth planet in the system, had 1.3 billion inhabitants, and was used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems the site of the Starkiller superweapon facility during the Clone Wars. The information on Kromol and Kromus in Galactic Republic records was swapped, leading the Republic to believe that the Starkiller was being built on an uninhabited world. This error, probably manipulated by Darth Sidious, led to the decision to plan the Battle of Kromus around an orbital bombardment, and ultimately caused the wiping out of all life on Kromus.
