Talissen is a name that Jame appears to have, although it is only used once in the canonical books. When Penari asks her for her name after she defeats the men who have him cornered at the beginning of God Stalk, she answers "Jame… Jame Talissen". Penari mishears that as "Talisman", and from then on she is "the Talisman" in the Thieves' Guild. The name does repeatedly occur in the non-canonical early work "Child of Darkness". P.C. Hodgell says that "I can't for the life of me remember why I called Jame "Talissen." (An echo of Taliesan?)" The name does appear largely abandoned.
