They didn't expect his survival. -After proving loyalty and usefulness under the Dark Lady, Vaivictus agreed to undergo experimentation by the Royal Apothecary Society concerning the New Plague. -Successfully contained a preliminary/alternate version of the plague within the Blood Knight by experimentation and using the knights stolen Paladin powers, it is now in a gestation period.
