The HMKG had two main battle tactics. The most common was used in open-air battles and space battles. Most of the HMKG soldiers would encircle the enemy force, if possible, while the rest would patrol the circle, reinforcing it where necessary. The enemy soldiers inside the circle would be trapped and cramped together too much to be able to fight properly. If the Lombardans couldn't encircle their foes, then they would simply battle them in ranks.

In a battle either indoors, in a city or in a capital ship, only one third of the HMKG would attack the enemy. The rest would hide in various locations and ambush any enemies who came near them. They would also shoot foes at random times if no enemies approached them. After they shot, they would move to a different hiding place.
