The Khardh was a hairy, short-legged beast remotely related to the Bison. Thriving in the dark Tumarkhazad woods, they stood only three to three and one-half feet at the shoulder and could move through the unique forest with ease. The Dwarves used them as beasts of burden, and a few had actually been harnessed as mounts. They had two sharp, curving horns, which they used to defend themselves and challenge one another for dominance. Khardh were omnivorous herd animals. See:
* Great Chamois
* Goat-Steeds
