Darinka Brankovich was an analyst and translator with the Counter Terrorist Unit, based in Washington, D.C. She was an expert in numerous Eastern European languages, including Serbian. In the aftermath of the Drazens' revenge mission against Senator David Palmer, Alexis Drazen's PDA was recovered from the trunk of his Mercedes sedan. Brankovich was tasked with translating the contents of the PDA and lending insight into Drazen's plans. She provided notes on the translation as documentation and testified before the House Special Subcommittee on her findings.
