The House of Thomas was the royal family of the Kingdom of Meyers. They were reduced to figureheads when the Solarian League Office of Frontier Security took control of the system. However, they were able to hold on to much of their family wealth, and spent the next generations using it to try and help the people of Meyers through charity. In 1922 PD, the Solarian League was driven out of Meyers by the Star Empire of Manticore, and the House of Thomas, then headed by Lawrence IX, once again ruled over the system. (HH14)
