Quadia, like many of its neighbors, had an active mining industry. Under Roman domination the Quadi made much progress in the field of manufacturing and metallurgy. Because of this they adopted the color of steel onto their banner and a gear with an eagle and a cross at the center to represent their Kingdom's character. They joined the Cimbrian Alliance at the same time as the other Kingdoms and expected a greater freedom and autonomy. The leader of the Quadi who became their first King was named Clovis and he led the factory workers and miners in a revolt against the wealthy Roman aristocracy and military in the region. On the flag their are four stars, one for each of the three martyrs and another for King Clovis.
