Janssens started his National Hockey League career with the New York Rangers in 1989. He also played for the Minnesota North Stars, Hartford Whalers, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, New York Islanders, Phoenix Coyotes, and Chicago Blackhawks. He left the NHL after the 2001 season. He played for the junior Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League from 1984-88. Janssens was chosen 72nd overall by the New York Rangers in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft.

  • Mark Janssens (born May 19, 1968 in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada) is a retired Canadian ice hockey forward. Janssens started his National Hockey League career with the New York Rangers in 1989. He also played for the Minnesota North Stars, Hartford Whalers, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, New York Islanders, Phoenix Coyotes, and Chicago Blackhawks. He left the NHL after the 2001 season. He played for the junior Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League from 1984-88. Janssens was chosen 72nd overall by the New York Rangers in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. Janssens turned pro in the 1988-89 season and split two seasons between the Rangers and the minor pro Denver Rangers. He became an NHL regular in 1989-90. In 1991 he was traded to the Minnesota North Stars and then to the Hartford Whalers. He played four and a half seasons with the Whalers. He ended off his career with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Chicago Blackhawks, New York Islanders, and Phoenix Coyotes. Janssens retired in 2001. Janssens played in a total of 711 NHL games, scoring 40 goals and 73 assists.
