Alfred Sydney Leigh, known as Syd, was a centre forward who played for Rovers during their first two seasons in the Football League, from 1920 to 1922. He became the first player to score four goals in a league game for The Pirates against Exeter City in May 1921, and was the club's top goalscorer in both his seasons in Bristol.
