- Man-At-Arms is the primary title of Duncan, a character in the Masters of the Universe franchise. The role of a Man-at-Arms in the government of Eternia was to advise the ruling planetary monarch and the Royal Guard on military and police affairs.
- As a military unit, the Man-at-Arms fills a similar niche to the Militia, being well-rounded enough to serve both as scouts and occasional raiders. Statistics-wise, they are better than the Militia when it comes to worker line harassment and base razing, though in practice whether or not they are efficient depends largely on the development status of one's enemy. As they are slow, they are particularly weak against Archers. Also, while somewhat effective against Scout Cavalry, they are susceptible to mobbing and will die very easily if outnumbered.
- The Man-at-Arms is the ultimate lancer cavalry unit. Armed with a long, heavy wooden lance and armour the likes of Europe had never seen before, almost nothing but the most resolute of enemies can resist the charge of these men-at-arms on the field. These cavalry units are this effective against many types of foes, although some units such as medium infantry can pose problems. Equally, noble knights, despite being equipped with the best armour and horses available, are liable of being unhorsed with fatal consequences by an organised line of pikes.
