  • Eastwatch is a medium sized town in the eastern portion of the River District, bordered by the main road from the Market District, Market Road. This makes it an emporium for goods and a stopover point for merchants on their way to the main markets of Fastheld and despite its size it is one of the most urbane settlements in the city-state.
  • The Eastwatch is a clan in Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift. They are a group of bodyguards led by a Parivir named Zengen. During their first appearance, Zengen challenges Clan Gully to a battle in Moorabella, and teaches them the Parivir Job for winning. Later in the game, they appear during The Jylland Cup.

It was founded by a community of citizens with funding from a now unknown Lomasa noble; eventually, when it came of size a Lord from that house swooped in and took over administration. However, this has always given Eastwatchers a streak of independance. Most of the people who live there are the self-reliant, hardy citizen stock. There used to be an old slave trade in the "Old District" of the city which was purged in the last fifteen years, although there is still a thriving black market and underground society present in the city, which is generally tolerated by the authorities so long as they don't interfere with the way Eastwatch is run. The people tend to be a little more realistic and dark in perspective than others around the realm. Eastwatch is a city of the crafts - being that it is quite close to the Market District there's always been a healthy flow of goods made in Eastwatch transferring down south for sale in the bazaars. Some of the more prominent crafts are smithing, vinting, masonry and carpentry; deposits of various types of stone and metal are fairly commonly found near the city, and its abundant supply of wood helps foster these industries. There are several large vineyards around the city, as well. One of Eastwatch's most famous attractions is the Cardo, a large market which sells some unique goods not available elsewhere in Fastheld. Formerly, it was a partly a slave market. Another popular profession for male Eastwatchers is that of Bladesmen. Historically these hardy, strong men have made excellent soldiers. There is an Aegis garrison in promixity to the town and although it is usually served by soldiers from other parts of Fastheld, this has further helped influence many young men's decisions to join up. In 623 ATA, Duke Markus Vozhd-Kahar obtained control of Eastwatch and built a canal from the Fastheld River to Eastwatch. He then further connected it to Vozhdya (now called Aegisview). This has made Eastwatch a new point for merchants and fishermen trading their wares, increasing the output of the already sizeable fishing industry which was present near the town.

During their first appearance, Zengen challenges Clan Gully to a battle in Moorabella, and teaches them the Parivir Job for winning. Later in the game, they appear during The Jylland Cup. They make another appearance in A Lanista's Pride, when the Bonga Bugle hires them to protect them from Clan Gully and a Prima Donna devotee, since the owner and the head editor have sunk to such a shameful level. It should be noted that Gisuke has incredible Speed, and can KO the Lanista in two hits with Throw, so it is advisable to Charm/Stop him with a long range attacker to avoid failing before a unit gets a second turn. This itself makes the Lanista the hardest Job to obtain.
