Despite the destruction of such major areas as the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and Wichita Falls, the events of Doomsday did not render northern Texas totally unhabitable. Survivors found their way to two towns, Graham and Paris, both an hour outside of the Metroplex, and both of which remain important financial, agricultural and cultural centers in the region.
