John Elias Le Manquais (1857-15 June 1943) was a school teacher and local politician active in the Poplar area. Born in Poplar, he was the son of John Carrell Le Manquais (1827-81) who had been born in St Helier, Jersey but had moved to Bromley in the East End of London where he was a house joiner. He was involved in Conservative Party politics, and in 1897 was chairman of the Bow and Bromley Conservative Association and was involved in the organisation of elections to the vestries in that year.
