Uses
  • Typically used only on Vollista itself, it has found its way into the larger galaxy as a kind of true emergency anti-radiation agent. It can heal those brought straight to the brink of death by radiation poisoning or burns, and is consequently worth the hassle of preparing it.
Price
  • At least 100 credits per dose. The powerful effects, dangerous acquisition, and rare nature of the herb merit this high expense.
Warnings
  • In undiluted form, the crystals are highly, highly dangerous. They will burn through skin and can inflict heavy radiation poisoning in their own right if used by the inexperienced. While the crystals may be valuable if harnesses prior to the flare, but after its pulse, following the flare they are too radioactive to be used for medicine, though they look the same. Those familiar with this fact are thus very loath to use crystals they did not harvest themselves.
roll type
  • Herbal Medicine
effects long
  • Highly physically addictive over long periods or if taken to excess.
effects short
  • The mixture, once diluted heavily, serves as a legendary agent in the prevention and healing of wounds caused by radiation. It basically causes uncharted mending of such wounds, ceases their spreads, and cleanses radiation-based toxic effects from the system.

delivery
  • In its base form, this herb is actually a set of orange-hued flowers containing pollen-like crystals which glow faintly and exist on the surface of Vollista itself. Their blossoms open during the pulse released by Volir's solar flare. Since the actual flare and its ensuing radiation comes -after- the EMP, one is given a ten-minute window in which to brave the searing surface and retrieve the pollen. The crystals retrieved are still highly corrosive, and must be rendered down and diluted with water to produce a red-orange solution which still stings slightly, but is an incredible agent in the healing and prevention of wounds caused by both radiation and fire.
